Poshmark Review; I'm a verified seller Wouldn't it be great if Poshmark offered such a thing? Sadly they don't. So how exactly are you able to determine who's reputable and who isn't? Follow these 5 simple steps and you should {hopefully} be ok. - Don't take transactions off Poshmark. While you may have every intention of sending that Louis Vuitton, a quick Poshmark search for the word scam brings up all sorts of stories. Gals who open empty boxes and the list continues. Yeah you may save a couple of bucks through PayPal but the reality is you're inviting unsavory characters into the community by letting them know you're open to bending the rules. Please stop doing that, cuz you are ssooo ticking me off.
- Why? The? $@$%$?!? are you trading merchandise with people you don't know? No I would really like to know! If I walked up to you on the street and asked you to trade something you'd walk away - but some how you think because you met a "friend" online you can trade hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise and you're actually going to receive it in the mail. Hold a minute please while I change my shorts cuz I just wet myself from laughing so hard.
- Do your homework. Thoroughly review Poshmark profiles. If they don't have any items listed, haven't bought or sold anything or don't have a website listed in their Poshmark profile - be alert. Don't blow them off - but just be alert. A reputable Poshmark user will be very transparent - kinda like me.
- Know how to spot a fake Coach or any other designer bag. Sadly this info isn't on Poshmark so I'll direct you to eBay on how to spot fake merchandise.
- Please stop posting, reading, sharing and worse believing all these Poshmark scammer alerts. Anyone can posting anything about anyone on Poshmark...including your home address. And some of these Poshmark scammer alerts simply are not true at all. Like this lovely gal who called me a scammer.
Yes @MicaCouture1906 also @RebeccaMorones - who's both accounts are now closed - you caught me - I am a scammer. I opted to do an Anthony Weiner and throw my entire prestigious 15 year career in the ad industry down the drain just to scam on Poshmark. ( Something about this girls bad English enticed another Asian girl to ask her if she spoke Chinese - and then the writing between them started. Kinda suspect don't ya think?) Because I know nothing of online marketing or how damaging that would be to my professional reputation. So much so I created this blog post on my business website so the world can see who I am and the numerous TV interviews I've done like this one posted here on how to be a recessionista. So while you're tap, tap, tapping away at your computer creating more fake accounts and posting on more than 100 scam alerts on me that I am something I am not - I'm doing this thing called having a life and enjoying the beautiful island I life on. Everyone do stay tuned - Shelly Kramer, who Forbes Magazine named one of the top women to follow on Twitter will be allowing me to guest blog about my nightmare than has been Poshmark the last week. I am VERY excited that once again Shelly is allowing me to be a guest blogger. See my last guest blog regarding another scammer I uncovered was shared over 500 times on various social media outlets. You're not my first online nut job sister. I got my feet wet knowing the ins and outs of cyberstalking when someone impersonated themselves as BJ Upton with the Tampa Bay Rays. If I can get in contact with senior level executives at Major League Baseball, the president of the Tamp Bay Rays and BJ's "people" of course I can handle my Poshmark stalker. Oh - and did I mention I also raised over 2,500 pairs of shoes for Japan Relief? Because those are the actions of a scammer.... If I hear one more peep outta you Poshmark will be forced to relinquish your IP address to the police. | | About Karen Moran Like her love for adventure travel, Karen Moran's 15 year advertising career has been quite a journey. Looking for Florida -- and -- Catch & Release Pinterest Community Board Pinners.Ahhh...Pinterest...Can't. Stop. Pinning... I like I'm sure a lot of you is completely addicted to Pinterest. It's a fun way to keep my recipes, home decor ideas, DIY projects and pretty much any other interest I have all nice and neatly organized. It's also been a great way to meet other like minded folks. As such, I created two Pinterest Community Boards where other folks can pin and I'm looking for Pinterest pinners. | | The first is my personal This Is My Florida Community Pinterest Board. It's a collection of pictures that really showcase the beautiful state I'm blessed to live in. The other is for my TrueFlies client. Being an avid fly fishing apparel company TrueFlies Pinterest page is focused on fly fishing. As such, we have a TrueFlies Catch & Release Fishing Community Pinterest Board. And as the name states - it's for showcasing some pretty amazing pictures of catch and release fishing. The benefit of joining Pinterest Community Boards is that it allows you to gain more followers by promoting your pins on someone else's board. And my TrueFlies client has a weekly promotion so following their pins allows you to enter to win some great fly fishing apparel. If you'd like to join either of these Pinterest Community Boards - just comment on any picture in the board and ask to join. I only ask you don't spam the boards, or worse post any inappropriate pictures. If ya do they'll be removed and you'll be block from the board. Thanks everyone and happy pinning! Fort Myers Web Design | Shelter In A DayThere's a lot more to web design and development than just making a website look pretty. Before hiring a web designer or developer, run their website through HubSpot's (a leader in online marketing software) free Online Marketing Grader. Their grader ranks a brands entire online presence (website, social media, blogging) from 0-100 and details areas for improvement. While it's not spot on, it does provide a good foundation for hiring a website developer. It also provides a sneak peak into the back end of the site to confirm if they know how to implement search engine optimization (SEO). Our HubSpot ranking as of this posting is 84. | | Within a week of the new Shelter In A Day website going live, Google found Shelter's new sitelinks. Better still, Shelter In A Day was on the first page of Google search for "emergency disaster relief house" and "emergency disaster relief housing." A perfect example of search engine optimization at its finest. Check out out Fort Myers Web Design portfolio to view more of our work. 15 Blogger Stats 2013It wasn't that long ago the statement, "I'm a blogger" conjured up more than a few eye rolls and snickering. But when 81% of U.S. online consumers trust information and advice from blogs and 37% watch online videos about someone's experience with products they're considering, that's most certainly nothing to laugh at. Is it ok to ask LinkedIn connections to not endorse you?I check LinkedIn like other social media outlets pretty much on a daily basis. I like to see who's checked out my profile and what status updates my connections have. Yesterday I found what an odd request in a status update...essentially unless you and I have actually worked together - do NOT give me a LinkedIn endorsement. I don't understand these new LinkedIn endorsements. I have many, many endorsements from people I have NEVER worked with on anything. While I understand the possible positives from having these types of endorsements, I certainly would take them all with a grain of salt. Please don't endorse me for anything if I've never worked with you on a project, it's just counter-productive.
| | Two things come to mind...1) who exactly are you connecting with on LinkedIn that you have all these endorsements from folks who aren't fully aware of your skill set enough to give a credible endorsement and 2) can't someone judge your skills and knowledge in your field - merely by watching the content you're posting in LinkedIn and elsewhere combined with the added-value you offer when responding to questions or offering advice to your community? I personally have been offered jobs, sponsorship opportunities, new client referrals, blogging gigs, etc based purely on my social media knowledge by folks I connected with online. I recently landed a great new Palo Alto client {details soon!} who was a referral from an existing client...that I originally connected with on Twitter - three years ago. Kat Gordon (recently named one of 10 women to watch in advertising) and I communicated on Twitter for about a year before finally meeting in person at BlogHer 11. While Holly Pavlika, President of MOMentumNation was at BlogHer we didn't connect but still tweet. As a result of that online dialogue I'm now a contributing editor at MOMentumNation. While Todd Wasserman thinks LinkedIn endorsements have become meaningless, if used properly I believe they can be a very valuable tool that can lead to future opportunities. What are your thoughts? Are LinkedIn endorsements useless dribble or a valuable tool if used properly? Is it ever OK to ask your community to NOT endorse you? Inquiring minds really do want to know. Here's an update to my May blog post last year on how to add Instagram pictures into your blog or website. Initially BadgePlz was a great - and pretty much only - option. The only thing I didn't like about BadgePlz was the their branding was displayed on the bottom of your Instagram feed. Well move over BadgePlz and say hello to SnapWidget. SnapWidget allows you to quickly and easily embed an Instagram photo gallery in your website or blog - without any of their logos. Updates to your Instagram feed are automagically updated to your Instagram blog/website feed. And SnapWidget offers a variety of customization options. Seamlessly add Instragram pictures in a grid (shown to the right), slideshow or photo map, based on your user ID and/or any hashtag, which could be great for promotions. SnapWidget offers a free and a Pro Widget option for $6.99 a month. SnapWidget - Pro WidgetThe Pro Widget options brings some of the Instagram functionality directly into your blog or website such as filtering pictures by name or hashtag or liking or commenting on pictures. SnapWidget - FreeThe feed shown here is the free option, which is exactly what I was looking for. From start to finish it took me about a a minute to customize my Instagram widget, grab the code and then embed it into my blog - very easy peasy! READERS: Have you used SnapWidget? Are there any others you recommend? | | About Karen MoranLike her love for adventure travel, Karen Moran's 15 year advertising career has been quite a journey. Shutterstock photo. UPDATE: 1/30/13After reviewing the Google Analytics on my site...I've since discovered an insane amount of disturbing key word searches since I wrote this blog post - "horny teens" and a slew of other equally nasty terms...really people?? ----------------------------While I must admit I am fond of my own ta-ta's I am not a big fan of opening Facebook to see another woman's breast-ta-sis plastered in my Facebook feed. Also not a fan of the bend -- waaayyy over -- with a thong and bam - there's another woman's lady parts saying hello. Uhm. Yikes. Being the curious social media gal I am though, I always wonder about these pages. How long have they been open? Who are the ding bats that like the page or worse - who are the idiots posting neked pictures of themselves on Facebook? So today when I saw the Horny Sex Girls Facebook page and a visual none of us really want to see - I reported the page. After all the Horny Sex Girls bio does say... it is a page for teens who wants sex pic but not porn !! get enjoy by here u will gate large large boobs , pussy , sexy body !!
Neked pictures of anyone on Facebook is just wrong. A Facebook page specifically for teens to enjoy - well all the stuff it says above? Ohhhh don't even get me started!
I reported the page only to get this wonderful response from Facebook why the page wouldn't be closed and the picture not removed.
Thank you for your report. We carefully reviewed the photo you reported, but found it doesn't violate our community standard on nudity and pornography so we didn't remove it. | | Facebook describes nudity and pornography as
Facebook has a strict policy against the sharing of pornographic content and any explicitly sexual content where a minor is involved. We also impose limitations on the display of nudity. We aspire to respect people’s right to share content of personal importance, whether those are photos of a sculpture like Michelangelo's David or family photos of a child breastfeeding.
| | So let me get this straight...Facebook will remove this picture of a girl taking a bath -- and exposing her elbows -- but not remove Horny Sex Girls that targets teens? Really? Last I checked Facebook a picture of a half neked woman with pasties over her ginormous ta-ta's that says, "F... Me" isn't at all like Michelangelo's David or family photos of a child breastfeeding. Just sayin'... | About Karen MoranLike her love for adventure travel, Karen Moran's 15 year advertising career has been quite a journey. She launched her ad career at iconic Leo Burnett. I have a new client focused solely on expectant mothers, and existing mothers of new borns, who are, or plan, to breastfeed. I'm looking for 11 gals to participate in a beta-test of our new sampling program. While we'd like a mix of gals who are "mommy bloggers" but also looking for regular Janes who are willing to promote on their social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube). Being a mommy blogger is NOT a requirement though. Every 6 weeks these lucky gals will receive in the mail a fun beautifully packaged box with samples of products tailored specifically to breastfeeding moms along with helpful tips and advice from a lactation consultant and working Mompreneur Wendy Wright on breastfeeding. In return we'll have some questions for you about your boxes. Just asking for honest feedback. Nothing too time consuming - promise! The fun thing for me about this new subscription service is that it's tailored exclusively for breastfeeding moms. While I'm certain you adore your children - these boxes will be decadent little treats just for moms - cuz sometimes no kids allowed is a-OK. So ladies...interested? Take this survey to see if you qualify to become a beta-tester. If you're not interested in being a beta-tester but are interested in learning more about this subscription service either for you or a friend - send me an email - and let me know. Thanks ladies!!!
